Online gaming specialist KAX Media has acquired the Gambling.com domain name, which was sold by Media Corp plc for $ 2.5 million. KAX Media adds Gambling.com to its portfolio of iGaming portals, including WSN.com (World Sports Network), CasinoSource.co.uk and CasinoSource.ie.
KAX plans to give Gambling.com a dynamic growth rate through improvements in conversion rates and more targeted traffic. Gambling.com will be operated exclusively as an online gambling portal and only in regulated markets. While the main market is now the UK, KAX aims to eventually develop Gambling.com globally, in all English-speaking regulated markets.
KAX CEO Charles H. Gillespie said, “Gambling.com ticked all the boxes and has great intrinsic value. From our previous experience with similar transactions, we knew it was a great fit for us and acted quickly.
Considering the cost, it was an easy decision. KAX has a conversion tracking software platform designed for this purpose to manage exactly this type of site. We felt that KAX was what it took to maximize Gambling.com’s value. “
KAX Media publishes digital content for the online gaming industry. Founded in 2006 in Shanghai as a World Sports Network, KAX has developed WSN.com to provide betting services to football fans in China and Europe. More recently, KAX launched CasinoSource.co.uk and CasinoSource.ie and expanded the business into the casino industry.
