Mr. Green Limited has been fined 312.500 euros by the Gambling Authority. It has been providing online games of chance to Dutch consumers at the website mrgreen.com, which is not allowed. Under the Dutch Gambling Law, casino operators can’t obtain a permit to offer games of chance. Some of them try ‘geoblocking’, which means that websites with Dutch IP-addresses are blocked for Dutch gamblers.
Court
Mr Green was fined by the Gambling Authority on July 17, 2018. The operator did not agree and went to court to stop the publication of the fine. However, at September 11 the judge decided that the Gambling Authority is allowed to make the fine public.
